"A tiny terror, the Alatura is a small species of wyvern that can be found in dense jungles. Do not be fooled by their size, alaturas are infamously vicious, even when tamed. Wild alaturas are known for congregating in huge unorgainzed swarms to hunt, and will attack anything with a pulse. Even the largest species of dragons will steer clear from an Alatura swarm. Luckily, Alatura groups are few and far between. Alaturas are very difficult to tame, due to their violent nature, and rather low intelligence. Despite this, Tamed alaturas are very desired by dragon trainers, primarily due to their speed in flight and uses as a small battle mount. Alaturas have almost no sense of self preservation or morals, and will fight anything on their trainer's command."

The Alatura could be obtained from the following Dragon Seasons:
The Alatura was obtainable by completing 10 season pass levels during Dragon Season 2 as the final reward.
The season lasted through the whole of November 2021.
The Alatura was obtainable by completing 10 season pass levels during Dragon Season 14 as the final Dragon Pass reward.
The Dragon Pass costs 350 Robux.

- The Alatura's name means "winged-tail" in Latin and is derived from Latin ālātus (winged). Its name is a nod to its design as its wings are attached to its legs and tail.
- The Alatura was based off of the Microraptor, Dimorphodon, and various dromaeosaurid species.
- Very early concept art showed the Alatura with a feather-coating and a much smaller head crest. The concept was changed however, as the creator thought it didn't look enough like a dragon.
- The Alatura was the winning concept for the Dragon Season 2 Dragon Concept Contest.[1]
- The Alatura is the shortest season dragon in terms of height.
- The Alatura is currently one of three season dragons to be of Legendary rarity, the other two being the Amaris and the Fulong.
