An empty base
Bases are floating plots of land in Origins owned and customized by players.
Players can hatch eggs in incubators, start Hatch Parties, and craft buildings to place on their base. The player may own a maximum of 1,250 buildings at any time and can place up to 500 on their base. Bases can be accessed through their respective player portal in the base center in Origins. An owned plot portal will display its respective player's username (or display name). Locked bases will feature a 
icon.
Users with the Advanced Building gamepass have a 50% larger base and can place buildings (with the exception of Incubators) within each other without them colliding.
Controls[]
Base portal
Bases can be unlocked to all players, unlocked to only the player's friends, or fully locked. Players can access base 
settings in the 
Menu under the "Base Lock" setting.
Building Controls[]
When the player enters their base, the "Build" icon will be displayed atop their screen.
Clicking the icon will bring up two additional icons and a list of all the currently available buildings, as well as the player's placed building limit.
- Exit Build: Clicking this icon will cancel Build mode.
- Clear Base: Clicking this icon will put all of the currently placed buildings into Storage.
If the player clicks on or places a new building on their base, they will be given four options:
Store: Storing a building will not delete it but will put it into Storage, where it can be accessed anytime. Stored buildings can be located in their respective building category.- Move: Moving a building will allow the player to move it to any area on their base that does not have collisions.
- Salvage: Salvaging a building will permanently delete it. The player (depending on the building) will be refunded some of the items it took to craft it.
- Rotate: Rotating a building will rotate it either left or right.

Incubators icon
Incubators are used to hatch eggs. An Incubator is given to the player for free during the tutorial. The Premium Incubator decreases egg hatch times by 40%. Seasonal incubators can only be crafted if the player obtains them from their respective Dragon Season.
The player may have only 30 incubators on their base at a time.

- Before farms were relocated, players would have to craft seeds and plant them on their plots. Plants could not collide, even with the Advanced Building gamepass.
