Features[]
Version One[]
Between the time of March 27th, 2020, to September 20th, 2021, there was only one bonding activity, and it had four steps.
The player could bond with their dragon once every 12 hours.[1] Bonding with the dragon would reward 10-25 bond points to its bond meter and the player would receive 10-100 coins. The maximum number of points on the bond meter was 200. The fuller the bond bar was, the more effective the stat boost from the personality would be. If a dragon was fully bonded with, then it could be bonded with at any time, however no more bond points or coins would be obtained.
In order to bond with a dragon, it must have been equipped, be at least Juvenile or older (age 33+), not be ridden, not be on a bond cooldown, and be able to have its information page accessed. The player could cancel out of the activity by clicking "Cancel bond" button at any time, however this would reset any progress made on the dragon's bonding activity. If the dragon grew up while being bonded with, it would also cancel the bond.
A dragon would lose all bonding points if it was sold, traded, or fed a Personality Potion. If the new personality was the same and/or gave the same buff, the points would still be reset. Dragons could only be bonded with on PC or mobile.

Step 1
The first step of bonding required the player to use a yellow sponge (or soap) to scrub off all of the dirt particles on their dragon. The sponge emitted bubble particles and would follow the player's cursor. The player must have scrubbed off all of the dirt particles with the sponge before going on to the next step. The sponge would follow wherever it was dragged to.
"Let's give your dragon a wash! First, drag the soap around to clean the dirt from your dragon."

Step 2
The second step of bonding required the player to rinse off the bubble particles with a shower head. The shower head was grey, had a green handle, emitted water particles, and would follow the player's cursor. The bubble particles would fall to the ground when they were rinsed off and would leave dripping water particles behind. All bubble particles must have been rinsed off until the player could proceed to the next step.
"Wash the soap off your dragon by dragging the shower head around!"

Step 3
The third step of bonding required the player to dry off all 3 water particles with a towel. The towel had colors very similar to that of a Mutation Potion and it emitted large white drying particles. All 3 water particles must have been dried off until the player could proceed to the final step.
"Dry the water on your dragon by dragging the towel around!"

Step 4
The player was not required to do anything in step 4 and instead the dragon would emit pink heart particles that varied in size and would soon fade out. After the prompt of the step had been finished, the dragon had finally been bonded with.
"Good job, you've successfully bonded with your dragon!"Version Two[]

An example of the bonding interface with the Sleepy mood
From May 27th, 2022, to June 6th, 2025,[2] the player could only bond with their dragon if it was in a mood (excluding the Hungry and Hurt moods). From February 21st, 2025, and onwards, the player would need to purchase the tools needed for bonding from the General Store.
To bond with a dragon, it must have been equipped. If the dragon was a Baby, it would need to be dropped if it was being carried before it could be bonded with.
Each mood had a unique bonding activity and would reward 50 EXP to the dragon when it was successfully completed. The dragon's personality would also return once the dragon had been bonded with, and it would receive either a 20-minute ~3% EXP boost or growing boost[3]. If the player opened a menu or moved too far away from the dragon, the bonding activity would cease.
Bonding Activities[]
There were five bonding activities, and the player could cancel out of the activity by clicking "Cancel" at any time, however this would reset any progress made on the dragon's bonding activity.
The Bored mood was able to be resolved by petting the dragon.
"Move your hand over your dragon to pet it"
In order for the player to have pet their dragon, they must have dragged their cursor or finger over the dragon repeatedly until the bond bar was filled up.
The Dirty mood was able to be resolved by washing the dragon.
In order for the player to have washed their dragon, they must have first used the Soap bar to cover the dragon in soap. Next, they must have used the Showerhead on their dragon to wash out the soap. Finally, the player must have dried their dragon with the Washing Cloth.
The Jealous mood was able to be resolved by brushing the dragon.
In order for the player to have brushed their dragon, they must have equipped the Brush and brushed it until the bond bar was filled. Once filled, the dragon would be relieved of the Jealous mood.
The Sleepy mood was able to be resolved by letting the dragon take a short nap.
"Drag the teddy bear to your dragon's mouth"
In order for the player to have let their dragon sleep, they must have first given it the Teddy Bear. After doing this, the dragon would close its eyes and emit "Z" particles. The player would also need to pet it five times.
"Pet your dragon to sooth it"
After being pet, the player would need to prod their dragon by tapping on its head. Once done, the dragon would emit heart particles.
"Prod your dragon on the head to wake it up"
The Vicious mood was able to be resolved by playing music for the dragon.
"Turn the handle of the music box to play music"
In order for the player to have played music for their dragon, they must have wound-up the Music Box until its respective bar was filled. Once filled, the dragon would be relieved of the Vicious mood and would emit heart particles.Trivia[]
- The drying particles used in step 3 of the original bonding activity were the breath particles used for the old Air element.
- Rarely, when a player bonded with a dragon for the first time, the player would always gain 20 bond points every time they bonded with that dragon. The only known way to fix this bug was to use a Personality Potion on the dragon.

Bond bar extension.
- During the presence of the bond bar, the maximum number of points achievable was 200. However, the bar appeared to look like it capped out at 120 bond points. If the player continued bonding with their dragon, the red bond bar would extend behind the Bond button. It is not known if the bond bar was intended to act this way or not.
- Bonding was reworked and reintroduced on May 27th, 2022.[4]
- The player did not need to purchase bonding tools or was able to earn EXP and growth boosts from bonding until February 21st, 2025.[3]
- On June 6th, 2025, the bonding activity was adjusted to be able to be done at any time and moods were removed. Additionally, it was updated and reworked on June 25th, 2025, to allow the obtainment of Bond sub-skill EXP.
