RULES TABLE OF CONTENTS
Welcome to our Dragon Adventures Wiki, a place where we aim to be respectful, work together, and enjoy friendly interactions. The User Conduct rules help us understand how to behave here. They ensure our conversations are friendly, informative, and safe for everyone. By following these rules, we can create a warm and welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and comfortable. Whether you're a long-time Dragon Adventures fan or new to the world of dragons, these guidelines help us all have a positive and enjoyable experience here.
Understanding the Rule Page:
On this rule page, you'll find explanations for each rule to help you understand them better. We've also added handy buttons on each section that, when clicked, will allow you to expand each one individually if you would like to read a more in-depth explanation of a particular rule. This way, you can quickly check the rules and, if you want to learn more about a specific one, expand its details. We want to make it easy for you to use these rules effectively while navigating the Dragon Adventures Wiki. Let's work together to make this place friendly, fun, and full of dragon magic!
Do not promote or link to any other platforms, social media or otherwise, on this wiki without admin approval. Exceptions to this are DeviantArt projects, Tumblr posts, Carrd pages, Trello boards, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides/Forms/Sites, Canva, and poll hosting sites or image hosting sites as long as it follows the rest of our rules, including this advertisement rule.
Not all links present on this Wiki have been fully assessed by Wiki staff and we take no responsibility if you choose to follow a link off-site, however, if you find a link that breaks our rules please report it immediately and it will be removed ASAP. While links to listed sites may be used to showcase fan art, dragon stores, and content related to Dragon Adventures, the advertisement for other platforms most commonly leads to content that violates our other rules or potential disruptions to the community, it also adds a lot for wiki staff to have to monitor. If you wish to post links to content off-site that isn't on the exception list, please contact an Administrator (https://dragon-adventures.fandom.com/wiki/Administrators) with your request and wait for them to assess your link and give the go ahead. Failure to request permission will result in warnings and you will have to wait for those point(s) related to advertisement to expire before requesting permission. All permission given needs to be renewed after 3 months and if you receive a warning by mistake for the advertisement, please have a link prepared to where you received permission from an administrator. Links on user pages are also subject to this rule unless it's in your bio that is the same across all of Fandom, which base Fandom rules apply instead.
Minor Infractions:
- Advertisement without permission (must wait until point expires to request permission again)
- Linking to an allowed site that contains an advertisement not permitted by our rules
Moderate Infractions:
- Advertising off-site content that violates our other rules (stacks)
Major Infractions:
- N/A
Extreme Infractions:

Announcements of Departure
Creating posts solely to announce that you are departing the community/game, temporarily or permanently, is not permitted due to issues with people creating these posts just to gain attention in the past.
To be able to focus on positivity in this community and avoid previous issues with users abusing people's kindness, we unfortunately have to discourage posts announcing that you will be leaving the Wiki and/or the game Dragon Adventures. Instead we encourage you to create a post on your message wall to announce your departure that people can see if they go looking for you. The only exception to this rule is if you're doing a giveaway, contest or other similar thing and your reason for hosting said activity is that you are leaving but you don't go into too much detail in the post in discussions.

Moderate Infractions:

Encouraging creativity and community engagement is one of our important goals for this Wiki, however there is a time and place for such content. The pages of the DA Wiki should be dedicated to only containing information directly found in the game that isn't influenced by community opinions such as values, concepts that are not confirmed, or lore that isn't confirmed by the DA Staff team or the artist of the dragon. This can include written content, artwork, characters, or any other form of creative work. For credits to be valid you are to input the user's full username, what platform the username is used, and if applicable a link to where they posted their work. Reposting Posts
To prevent spamming and allow other posts get the spotlight as well, users must delay their reposts by a set amount of time in each category.
Reposting content on this wiki does not just include word for word posts, this also includes posts with the same/similar content reworded or posts that share a roughly 60% similarity to a previous post. For example; If you posted an inventory auction that included 10 dragons and then reposted 6 of those dragons in a new post, this would be considered a repost or If you posted what you're offering for a specific trade but then changed a very small detail of your offer or what you're looking for, this would be considered a repost (we suggest just editing the content into your old post) but If you posted an offer for a specific trade but then posted that same offer for a completely different trade, this would **not** be considered a repost.
