Dragonflight |
History |
Dragonflight missions are a feature that allow the player to send off their dragons on tasks for coin and item rewards. They rotate each day at 7:00 PM EST.
Dragonflight missions exist in all adventure worlds excluding Origins and the Undercity and can be located at mission buildings. Each player starts with a Dragonflight capacity of 3 and can upgrade their flight slot capacity with Dragonflight Tokens.
Mechanics[]
Each Dragonflight mission has a duration time between 9h 00m 00s-14h 00m 00s and a ranking between 1-5 stars. Dragonflights also belong to a specific flight type that determines what dragon level, stats, and traits will be useful. More difficult Dragonflights will have higher rankings and tend to have longer duration times. Only adult and elder dragons can be sent on flights, and they must not be being ridden to be sent off.
Sending a dragon that fits most of the criteria on a Dragonflight will result in a higher success rate. A dragon must have at least a 100% success rate to pass a Dragonflight. If the success rate is less than 100%, then the dragon will be able to fail. If the dragon fails, it will come back fainted and with a lower coin amount. Note that dragons sent off on Dragonflights cannot be equipped, auctioned, traded, or deleted.
The player can skip a flight for 149 Robux and can unlock additional flight slots with Dragonflight Tokens, which can be earned by completing Priority flights.
Types[]
There are five flight types, each having a set of good, positive genetic traits and bad, negative genetic traits.

Recommended Traits[]
Each flight will have a level suggestion and 3-4 recommended traits that will boost a dragon's success chance. The desired level and element are based off of the world the flight takes place in and the flight's difficulty. Higher tier worlds and more difficult flights will desire greater levels and higher-tier elements.
Level[]
A dragon will gain +10% for each level it has that is greater than the desired level (i.e. a level 5 dragon will gain a +50% chance for a flight with a level 1 recommendation). This bonus caps at +80%. If the dragon's level is equal to the desired level, it will receive only a +10% bonus. However, if the dragon's level is less than the desired level, it will receive a -25% deduction for each level its level is less than, which maxes out at -80% (i.e. a level 5 dragons will gain a -50% reduction for a flight with a level 7 recommendation).
Flight Type[]
For each desired "good" genetic trait a dragon has, it will acquire +5% chance to its total success chance. This chance increases by 5% every two tier levels, which caps out at tier 9-10 with a +25% chance. A dragon can attain a maximum of only +80% from the flight type's desired traits, although the percentages from the desired good traits can exceed 80%.
For each unwanted "bad" genetic trait a dragon has, it will acquire a -5% chance deduction to its total success chance. Similar to good traits, this chance decreases by 5% every two tier levels, which caps out at tier 9-10 with a -25% chance.
Origin and Type[]
If the dragon belongs to the same world origin as the flight, it will receive a +10% bonus. A dragon will also receive a +15% depending on its mobility type (flying or flightless) and if that trait is desired. There is no chance deduction if the dragon is not of the same origin or if it is the non-desired mobility type.
Element[]
The dragon will receive a +33% boost if it has the desired element. There is no chance deduction if the dragon does not have the desired element.
Age[]
While not mentioned in a flight's recommendations, a dragon's age also affects its success chance. As opposed to elder dragons, adult dragons (age 67-99) have a -20% chance reduction.
Bonus Rewards[]
If a dragon's success chance is above 100%, then the player will be able to obtain a bonus reward. A dragon cannot exceed a success chance of 200%, however the percentages from the flight's recommended traits can go over 200%.
A bonus reward may include either a bronze chest or silver chest.
Priority Flights[]

Priority flight example
Each time the player completes 9 normal Dragonflights in a world, a Priority Dragonflight will appear. Priority flights have longer duration times and are characterized by having a shiny gold frame with a red card. They tend to have a higher difficulty from regular Dragonflights and yield better rewards, including Dragonflight Tokens.
When a dragon returns from a successful priority flight, it will bring three rewards. It is presumed that one Dragonflight Token is guaranteed from each successful priority flight. The other known rewards are listed below:

- 1-2 Material Potion Sets
- 1 Mutation Potion

The player can currently unlock up to 18 Dragonflight slots and may only have 20 Dragonflight Tokens at a time.
