Elements are traits that affect a dragon's eye color and the pattern of their elemental breath attack. A dragon's element can be viewed in the Lair or through its eyes, if it has any. Elements are cosmetic and do not affect any feature of a dragon except its eye appearance and breath.
Additionally, dragons with the Wild Eye Aura cosmetic trait will have their aura color(s) matching their element. Using a Legendary Pupil Potion or Legendary Color Potion on a dragon grants it alternating colors that correspond with its element. Note that Fire, Grass, Water, Ocean and Light do not shift colors.
There are currently 95 elements.
Obtainment[]
Dragons will hatch with one of three basic elements: Fire, Water, or Grass. However, event eggs may contain various other elements. Additional elements can be obtained through breeding two specific elements together or by using elemental potions. When two different elements are bred together, there is a 33% (1/3) chance of producing a third element, if applicable.
The Basic Elemental Potion changes a dragon's element to Fire, Water, or Grass, each with a 33.3% chance. The Elemental Potion randomizes a dragon's element to any natural element ranging from tiers one to four, each with a 5.26% chance.

- If a baby dragon has a Legendary pupil, its eye will appear neon in color. If the baby dragon has a Neon tertiary material, The tertiary color may be mistaken for the Legendary pupil.
- The Corrupted Chronocus, Cybernid, Djaevelhest, Gyngefared, Mechanoxide, Motorouk, Ortarouk, Paukiki, Radidon, Robodon, Scrawei, and Skelltor either do not have eyes or have "true eyes" on their models. Their elements can only be viewed in the Lair or through the dragon's breath.
- During the recode, the Dragon Adventures Discord announced that elements would impact a dragon's stats. It was also mentioned that some elements may provide dragons with special abilities, such as advanced healing capabilities. Currently, this idea is considered to be scrapped.
- At the beginning of the recode, four elements - Ancient, Jade, Sand, and Magic - were announced. These elements are also considered to be scrapped.
- The Jade and Magic elements would later be used for the Clover and Celestial enemies respectively
