Food |
History |

Food icon
Food items are primarily obtained from food deposits, mobs, and fishing. They are used to feed dragons, although they may be salvaged, sold, and traded as well. Food may be viewed in the player's inventory underneath the Food tab.
Each food has a maximum capacity of 10,000 (15,000 if the Big Backpack gamepass is owned). With no upgrades, 1,000 food items may also be stored at the Bank.
Obtainment[]

A food deposit
Food deposits are the primary source of food. They spawn randomly in every world except the Undercity. The appearance of a food deposit varies based on the world.
To collect from a food deposit, a player's dragon needs to attack the deposit. Food deposits have a total of 300 HP. Every time the deposit takes 45 damage, it will drop 2-3 random groups of 2-4 exclusive food items. A dragon's damage is set to 15 while harvesting. After reaching 0, the deposit will disappear, and a new deposit will randomly spawn elsewhere on the map. If multiple players attack the same deposit, each player will earn food.
If the Resource Hog gamepass is owned, one extra food per rarity group will drop from deposits. Resource Hog is no longer available for purchase.Mobs will either drop Meat or Bacon upon death, with stronger mobs dropping both in higher quantities.

A fishing sign
Fishing can be done in all worlds and allows the player to catch fish, and, more rarely, potions as well.
In order to fish, the player must be in a fishing zone, which is characterized by a usually large body of water or liquid with fishing signs and cosmetic whirlpools nearby.
Catching fish requires the player to cast their fishing rod into the fishing zone, and then waiting for a fish to be hooked. Once hooked, the player will have to click whenever the golden cursor is in the highlighted zone to reel the fish in further.
Each world has three different unique fish that are able to be caught.
Other ways of obtaining food include:
- There is one weekly mission that contain Golden Apples as a reward.
- Certain codes may contain food.
- Killing bosses can sometimes yield food rewards.
- Tundra races contain golden food rewards.
- The Daily Login also contains golden food rewards on the 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th days.
Feeding[]
In order to feed a dragon, the dragon must have lost at least one hunger point and not have fainted.
To do this, the player can access the dragon's Feed menu while it is equipped, or by accessing its
Feed menu in the
My Dragons menu. The player can than select any food item within their inventory to feed their dragon.
Note: The item that is fed to the dragon does not have to equal the amount of hunger points the dragon has lost.
Farm Merchant[]

Farm Merchant
The Farm Merchant is a stationary NPC located near the farm plots in Origins and along one of the paths in the Undercity.
The Farm Merchant is able to buy farmable plants for an increased sell price. They buy a new food every 24 hours.

Trivia[]
- There are currently 75 obtainable food items in Dragon Adventures.
- All food items originally gave 4 XP when fed to a dragon, however an update on September 21st, 2021, introduced XP that scaled with how much hunger was restored.
- "Avocado" was originally misspelt as "Avacado", although this has been fixed. The word "piranha" was also originally misspelt in "Rainbow Pirahna"; however, it was not misspelt in "Gemtoothed Piranha." This issue was fixed at an unknown date.
- Chocolates are the only food items able to be fed to dragons that are full, and they would still give XP upon being fed.
- At an unknown date, the sell price for golden food items (excluding the Goldfish) was raised from 10 coins to 75 coins.
- Golden Apples, Golden Dragonfruit, and Golden Pears fill the most hunger and give the highest EXP to dragons when fed.
