The Fulong is a season dragon that was originally obtainable through Dragon Season 5.

Dragonpedia[]

"Sightings of Fulong date back centuries. Throughout history, these season dragons have been associated with emperors and rulers; because of this, it is said that a Fulong will only appear to one it deems worthy enough, making them quite a rarity. Whilst this fierce creature performs with great endurance, it also upholds decent strength and speed. Along with the Yueshi, this dragon's auspicious power is celebrated annually by many during the Chinese New Year. It is believed that these celebrations will bring about good fortune and ward away bad luck."

Trivia[]

  • Modeled by Twilight.
  • Animated by Twilight.
  • The Fulong's name is a combination of the Chinese 福 (Fú), meaning "fortune" and 龍/龙 (Lóng), meaning "dragon."
  • The reason for the Legacy Fulong's rather "stiff" animations was explained by Twilight: "Some of the Fulong animations were changed from the original concept due to technical reasons (splits, hrp, etc). Very sorry to disappoint, but sometimes style has to be sacrificed for functionality."[1]
    • The Fulong's Advanced model utilizes skinned-mesh technology, which allows it to be more accurate and fluid to its concept art than its Legacy model.[2]
  • The Fulong was the first season dragon added to have hatch presets.
  • The Fulong is the only wingless flying dragon to have no visible signs of magic or particles that may enable it to fly.
  • It is the longest season dragon.
  • Prior to January 24th, 2025, it was the only dragon to have a cosmetic trait exclusive to its species.
  • The Fulong is currently one of three season dragons to be of Legendary rarity, the other two being the Alatura and the Amaris.
    • The Fulong and the Yueshi were originally the only season dragons to be listed as Legendary and not Epic. This was likely because their respective month, February, is the shortest month of the year.
  • The Fulong has a UGC accessory based off of it, that being the Fulong Hat.
    • The accessory also has two color variants, including dark and pink.
  • The Fulong received an Advanced model on November 8th, 2024.[3]
