Galaxy Event 2023 Countdown

In-game countdown

The Galaxy Event of 2023 is an event that began June 30th, 2023, at 3:00 PM EST. It ended July 28th, 2023, at 3:00 PM EST.

Event[]

Pre-Event[]

A countdown for the main Galaxy Event was set up in Origins with a small rocket ship placed between the missions structure and the Alchemy building on June 19th, at 3:00 PM EST.

Meteor Shower[]

The Meteor Shower (or Meteorite Storm) mini-event began on June 19th, at 3:00 PM EST. It took place in all worlds except for Undercity, and ended when the Galaxy Event officially started.

The shower would occur every 4-5 minutes and would cause the world's atmosphere to turn a deep indigo color. Between 2-4 meteorites would fall from the sky in one of the ten set Meteorite Impact Zones. Meteors would produce impact sounds and spawned particle effects when they hit the ground. Fallen meteors had 2,000 health and emitted a unique meteor icon, red sparkles, and a had bright, purple beacon atop them.

Once a meteor hit the ground, the sky would revert back to normal within 3-5 seconds. Players could work together to break fallen meteors by using their dragon's elemental breath on them. As long as a player's dragon damaged the meteor at least once, they would be able to claim to whatever reward was inside. If a meteor had not been collected by any player within ~5 minutes, it would despawn.

If the player was in an older server, glitched meteors would likely be present. Glitched meteors would not despawn and would have 0 health. In the case of the glitch being present, it was likely that only one functional meteor would fall at a time on that bugged server. The glitch has since been patched.

Week One[]

Week One of the event began June 30th, at 3:00 PM EST. It opened up access to the Galaxy World and released the new Cybernid alongside new event accessories, potions, and other items. It also returned all of the old items from the 2022 Galaxy Event. Players could begin mining to earn Crystal Ore, which could be refined into Crystal Shards, a currency within the event.

Players could also earn boosts to their dragon's elemental breath duration, mining speed, and Crystal Shard processing rate and mining rate from the drills located in the caverns below.

Week Two[]

Week Two began July 7th, at 3:00 PM EST. It released the new Xerthos dragon and Cyber ship plot theme. The Egg Infuser was also unlocked alongside crates that contained Egg Encoders which were used to convert 2023 Mecha Egg's into Supercharged Mecha Eggs.

Week Three[]

Week Three began July 14th, at 3:00 PM EST. It reintroduced the Robodon and added the Robodon boss.

Week Four[]

Week Four began July 21st, at 3:00 PM EST. It released the Mecha Theme Potion and added color and material potions to the Event Eggs Store. The advanced Howler model was also implemented.

World[]

Galaxy World (2023)

Galaxy World

The Galaxy World (or Lunar Toxic World) took place on Wasteland's moon, which featured no life and had little to no atmosphere. On the moon's dark-grey surface were small impact craters, small purple meteorites, and what appeared to be purple solid pools of waste.

The largest crater featured the World Teleporter, stores, satellites, excavation machines, and its exclusive ore veins. In the midst of the crater was an open hole that led down to the Egg Infuser.

Within some of the ore veins were vast caverns with green crystals, as well as the Egg Infuser, Speedy Incubators, and the drills. Mining deeper within the world would result in more open caverns that possessed regular toxic mobs and Elite mobs. Batteries and Treasure Crates could also be located throughout the caves.

Various signs, lamps, and other various pieces of equipment decked the underground and surface of the world as well.

Badge & Title[]

If the player entered the Galaxy World they would be rewarded with the Mecha Miner title and the Galaxy 2023 badge.

Currency[]

The 2023 Galaxy Event featured three currencies:

The currencies included Crystal Ore, Crystal Shards (or simply Shards), and Egg Encoders.

Crystal Ore could be obtained by mining Crystal Ore blocks. It could then be processed at the Processing Plant to produce Crystal Shards. Crystal Shards could also be obtained from green Crystal Ore blocks and through the Galactic Pack. They could sometimes be obtained from meteorites and elite mobs.

Crystal Shards were used to purchase items at the Accessory Store and the Event Store.

Egg Encoders could be obtained by using batteries to collect them from crates that contained them, defeating the Robodon boss, the Galactic Pack, or through the Premium Shop event tiers menu alongside Crystal Shards. They were previously only obtainable through Robux during Week One, though they were properly integrated into the event at the start of Week Two. They were used to purchase 2023 Mecha Eggs from the Event Eggs Shop, or they could be infused with a 2023 Mecha Egg to create a Supercharged Mecha Egg.

Stores[]

There were three stores featured in the 2023 Galaxy Event:

Event Eggs Store (Galaxy 2023)

Event Eggs Store

The Event Eggs Store could be located to the right of the World Teleporter. A small NPC ran the shop in a futuristic automobile, with Lunar Toxic Eggs, Mecha Eggs, crystals, Egg Encoders, and Supercharged Mecha Eggs on display.

Mining[]

Mining played a big role in the 2023 Galaxy Event. Throughout the world were ore veins, which could be mined with dragon elemental breath in order to obtain Crystal Ore, and, from green crystal ore, Crystal Shards. Green crystal ore would reward 2-5 Crystal Shards upon being mined.

Players could process their Crystal Ore at the Processing Plant, which could be turned into either Coal, Fossils, Stone, and more rarely, Crystal Shards, the event's main currency.

Players were only able to see their individual mining progress. Crystal Ore would be highlighted green when it was being mined.

Individual Cave-Ins[]

Cave-in

A Red Danger zone

Every 30 minutes, an individual cave-in would occur to an ore vein that was mined by the player. It would reset all mined Crystal Ore blocks in that specific vein. Players would be given a warning if they were nearby the ore vein by a slight screen shake, rumbling sounds, and a red warning zone.

The player would be teleported back to the surface if they were within the warning zone when the ore regenerated.

If the player got caught in a cave-in, Foreman's Radio would say:

  • “Looks like you got caught in a cave in! Look out for the Red Danger Zones and avoid them next time.”

World Features[]

Drills[]

There were three drills located beneath the Galaxy World's surface. Each one was different and provided its own unique boost.

Each drill had a 15-minute cooldown once its respective boost had worn off.

The Dragon Breath drill would increase the player's dragons' breath duration by 2x and allowed it to replenish faster.

Dragon Breath Drill (2023)

Dragon Breath drill

This drill required the player to align the circuitry to its target position. The player must have aligned the circuitry between the open spaces of the moving blocks. If the player successfully aligned the circuitry through all 3 spaces, they would be given a 10-minute dragon breath boost.

A Needy Engineer could also be interacted with nearby the drill. They would say the following:

  • “Gosh darn! I am going to be in serious trouble.”
  • “The Mining Drill circuitry has completely jumbled itself, I need help fixing it.”
  • “Align the circuitry with its target position and it should fix the machine.”
  • “If you help me out, I'll supercharge your dragon's breath!”

The Mining Speed drill would boost the player's mining speed, allowing them to mine ore almost instantly.

Mining Speed Drill (2023)

Mining Speed drill

This drill required the player to match three different pattern frequencies. The first frequency showed three patterns, the second showed four patterns, and the third showed five patterns. The pattern's color could be either red, orange, green, blue, or purple. If the player successfully replicated all three frequencies, they would be given a 10-minute mining speed boost.

A Needy Engineer could also be interacted with nearby the drill. They would say the following:

  • “My dang drill broke on me again!”
  • “I need help calibrating the sensor array.”
  • “You need to match the pattern shown on the screens perfectly to recalibrate it.”
  • “If you help me out, I'll give you a Mining Speed boost!”

The Shard Processor drill would increase the player's Crystal Shard output from both the Processing Plant and green crystal ore.

Crystal Shard Drill (2023)

Shard Processor drill

This drill required the player to align tiles on the hologram to correctly show the head of a dragon. There were nine different tiles. If the player successfully put all of the tiles in their correct place, they would be given a 10-minute Crystal Shard boost.

A Needy Engineer could also be interacted with nearby the drill. They will say the following:

  • “Hey there, want to help me out?”
  • “My drill's crystal recognition software needs restarting.”
  • “Move the tiles on the hologram into their correct places to create the correct image.”
  • “When that mining drill works again, I'll give you a boost to your Shard Processor Chance!”

Elite Mobs[]

Elite mobs could be located within the caves of the Galaxy World. They were larger and stronger versions of Wasteland mobs.

They had 2,500 health, and players were only able to do 13 damage to them per attack. They were surrounded by other, regular Wasteland mobs as well. These regular mobs would drop 1 Crystal Ore upon being killed.

When killed, the elite mob would drop one Mecha Egg 2023. If the player contributed damage to the elite mob when it was near death, they would be rewarded 30 Crystal Shards instead.

There were three spawn locations for the elite mobs. Two of them were in the green cavern layer, and the other in an open room somewhat near the Egg Infuser area.

Egg Infuser[]

Mecha Egg Super Converter (Galaxy Event 2022)

Egg Infuser

The Egg Infuser could be located beneath the large, open hole in the Galaxy World. Located around it were the Speedy Incubators.

The Egg Infuser was used to convert Lunar Toxic Eggs into 2023 Mecha Eggs, and 2023 Mecha Eggs into Supercharged Mecha Eggs.

It made its proper debut in Week Two.

Meteorites[]

Meteorite

Meteorite

Meteorite Icon

Meteorite icon

Every so often, a meteorite would fall into the caves. The meteorite had 5,000 health and displayed an icon able to be seen from anywhere in the world. Only one could be present at a time.

The meteorite was large and dark grey with neon green craters.

Every time the meteorite lost 25% of its health, four Wasteland mobs would spawn. The mobs had 400 health and did not drop anything.

Once the meteorite had lost all of its health, it would disappear and drop one Mecha Egg 2023 or, if the player only dealt damage to the last 25% of its health, 30 Crystal Shards. Any mobs spawned from the meteorite would also despawn.

A server announcement was made every time a new meteorite spawned.

NPCs[]

There were five interactable NPCs featured in the 2023 Galaxy Event:

Big Jezza

Big Jezza

Big Jezza could be located at the rocket ship between the missions building and Alchemy.

Upon being interacted with, they would say:

  • “Hi, Adventuerer. I seem to be in a bit of a pickle...”
  • “I have been looking for my brother, Damien! He was last seen on the Lunar Toxic World, the moon that orbits Wasteland!”
  • “I'm trying to reach there, but there's a Meteorite Storm showering this planet! Its too dangerous for me to launch my rocket!”
  • “We'll need to wait until the storm passes before we can take off.”
  • “In the meantime, go check out the Meteorite Impact Zones! You can find them in every world, and there's bound to be some goodies hidden inside”

Fatima the Foreman (2023)

Fatima the Foreman

Fatima the Foreman could be located in front of the World Teleporter in the Galaxy World.

Upon being interacted with, they would say:

  • “Ah, its you! Welcome back to Mine 459-BP”
  • “Things have changed since you were last here, the central infuser has cracked open to reveal the cave below!”
  • “We've also expanded the tunnels and discovered an absolute treasure trove of ore hidden underground.”
  • “Now, you're about 3 million tons behind on your quota. Better get down into the mines and make some money!”

If the player found either a Battery or a Treasure Crate, Foreman's Radio would say:

  • “We had to abandon the crates when these creatures began infesting certain areas of the mine!”
  • “Plug 2 batteries in, and you'll unlock the crate, and claim the loot inside.”
  • “You can find the batteries all over the mine. Better get hunting!”

During Week Two, players would be instructed to speak to Fatima. Foreman's Radio would say the following:

  • “Hello there! Check it out!”
  • “We've just had a shipment of these Blue Egg Encoder Crates in!”
  • “They open just like yellow crates, but contain Egg Encoders!”
  • “Use Egg Encoders to supercharge eggs at the Egg Infuser!”

If the player got near the Egg Infuser during Week Two, Foreman's Radio would say the following:

  • “Something has activated the infuser once again...”
  • “Using our new Egg Encoder devices, we can mechanise egg and even supercharge them!”
  • “Find an Egg Encoder, thrown an egg in, and see what happens!”

There was one Needy Engineer located at each drill.

For the Needy Engineers, see here.

Processing Plant[]

Processing Plant (Galaxy Event 2022)

Processing Plant

The Processing Plant was grey in color and had various parts to it. It could be found to the left of the World Teleporter.

The Processing Plant processesd Crystal Ore into Coal, Fossils, Stone, and, more rarely, Crystal Shards. The player could process their Crystal Ore by putting it into the dropper and, if needed, fixing the Processing Plant up. Fixing the Processing Plant involved a wire connect game, and the player would be rewarded with one Crystal Shard upon completion.

Once done, the Crystal Ore would be turned into any of the four items above. Crystal Shards, without the processor boost, had about a 25% turnout rate.

Title[]

If the player processed a total of 10,000 Crystal Ore blocks, they would be rewarded with the Galactic Geologist title.

Speedy Incubators[]

Speedy Incubators (Galaxy Event 2022)

Speedy Incubators

The Speedy Incubators were able to hatch eggs 25% faster than regular incubators and were located on top of the Egg Infuser platform.

The Speedy Incubators were large Alien Incubators.

Incubators could be purchased with Crystal Shards, with five in total.

1 50
2 75

Treasure Crates[]

Treasure Crate

Mecha Egg Crate

EncoderCrate

Encoder Crate

Treasure Crates could be located within the caverns and could be opened with two batteries. These batteries did not need to be put in by the same player and could be split up between two different players.

There were two kinds of crates: Mecha Egg crates, which were colored orange, would drop a Mecha Egg 2023, and Egg Encoder crates, which were colored blue, would drop an Egg Encoder. Both would drop their respective item after two batteries were placed within the crate.

If two players helped with the crate, they would each receive their own Mecha Egg 2023 or Egg Encoder and would get a notification telling them the crate was opened.

There was no cooldown for opening crates. As soon as one was opened another would immediately appear elsewhere within the caverns.

Batteries[]

Battery

Battery

Batteries could be randomly located throughout the caverns. They were used to open crates.

Players could pick up one battery per dragon at a time.

If the player unequipped a dragon that was carrying a battery, they would lose that battery, even if the dragon was reequipped.

Robodon Boss[]

The Robodon Boss was introduced for Week Four and could be located at the large door near the Egg Infuser, which read: "The Robodon"

In order to open the door, the player must have found a "green crate". The green crate spawned like the regular crates, however it spawned more rarely and requires 4 batteries to open. Only one could spawn at a time. Each time the player put a battery in, a server-wide message would be sent:

  • “A darkness stirs, the path is laid. One power source awakened, yet slumber persists.”
  • “Gears turning, sinews stretching. The awakening horror waits, veiled. Two sources now in place.”
  • “Whispers echo, prison trembles. Three sources aligned, gears grind in anticipation.”
  • “Final surge ripples, darkness retreats. The Robodon awakens. Beware.”

A server announcement would also be sent out, reading:

  • [BOSS]: The Boss door has opened!

The green crate would then open, revealing a small swirling portal. If the player entered it, they would be teleported back to the now open boss door.

Entering the door would initiate a 30-second countdown, allowing up to 8 players to be able to fight the Robodon boss. The following server announcement would also be made:

  • [BOSS]: The Boss queue has started!

Once the countdown was up, players would be teleported to a massive room, and the following server announcement would be made:

  • [BOSS]: The Boss fight has started!

The room was massive and showcased Cybernid blueprints on the left and Xerthos blueprints on the right. In the center was the upper body of the giant Robodon boss. To the left and right of the Robodon boss were robotic serpent-like arm features. These arms would attack the player if they get too close.

Rounds[]

During the first round, the player would only be able to attack the arms. The Robodon would launch around 8 explosive mines in bursts every ~10 seconds. If the player was caught within the red danger zone of one, they would be damaged when it exploded after ~3 seconds.

Once the arms were "killed", they would sink back into the holes they came from. The Robodon would also slump over, and players would be able to damage it. Once the first boss battle bar had been cleared, round two would start.

Round two reintroduced the mechanical arms, which worked the same as in the previous round. The Robodon, however, gained a special breath beam attack that it would use to swerve onto its attackers. Players must have constantly avoided it too not be damaged. The beam attack would not stop until both arms were killed.

Once the arms were killed, the Robodon would slump over again to allows players to attack it. Once the second boss battle bar had been cleared, round three would start.

Round three brought both of the arms back and introduced a new attack tactic. Every few seconds, 1 or 2 thirds of the ground would turn into danger zones, highlighted with red exclamation marks and red tiles. These zones could be either the left, center, or right of the boss battle room. If the player was within the red danger zone after it activateed, they would start to be rapidly damaged by red laser-like projections, which took out 1/20th of the player's health per second. The player would have to avoid the zones as they shift and activate while still trying to defeat the arms.

If the player was successful in slaying the arms for the final time, they would be able to kill the Robodon. Once killed, the Robodon would sink down and all players would be rewarded with 1-2 Supercharged Mecha Eggs and 2-4 Egg Encoders. While much rarer, the player could also win a Robodon.

Title[]

If the player successfully defeated the Robodon boss 10 times, they would be rewarded with the Robodon Wrangler title.

Event Dragons[]

Two new event dragons were released in the Galaxy Event 2023 alongside one returning event dragon.

Cybernid[]

Cybernid Icon

The Cybernid is a mechanical version of the Venid. It resembles a jet plane and boasts a robotic appearance. Much like the Venid, it showcases two pairs of sharp wings complete with engines, six legs, a pair of antennae, and an armored abdomen. Atop its back are an additional set of engines.

The Cybernid was released during week one of the event. It can be hatched from the Mecha Egg 2023 and the Supercharged Mecha Egg.

Robodon[]

Robodon Icon

The Robodon has a very mechanical appearance consisting of segmented robotic parts reminiscent of many of the Radidon's characteristics. It has no visible eyes and has four limbs each attached with metallic wings. Rods dispense out of the back of its neck, back, and tail, and on its head is a jagged nasal crest and a larger jagged frill on the back of its head. At the end of its tail is a wide tail fan.

The Robodon was re-released during week three of the event. It could be hatched from the Supercharged Mecha Egg or won from the Robodon boss fight.

Xerthos[]

Xerthos Icon

The Xerthos is a bipedal mechanical dragon with a sleek appearance and airplane-like features. Its head sports independent, goggle-like eyes and somewhat pronged jaws. Its wings are partially segmented and resemble jet plane wings. A single engine is present on the underside of each wing as well. Its arms are short and round, and its legs feature a hooked digit. Its long, slender tail has a fin at its base and two fins at the end.

The Xerthos was released during week two of the event. It could be hatched from the Supercharged Mecha Egg.

Eggs[]

There were three event eggs able to be obtained during the event: the Lunar Toxic Egg, the Mecha Egg 2023, and the Supercharged Mecha Egg.

The Lunar Toxic Egg was only able to be obtained from the Event Eggs Store. It costed 50 Crystal Shards.

The Mecha Egg 2023 could be obtained from Mecha Egg crates, elite mobs, meteorites, and the Event Egg Store, where it costed 1 Egg Encoder.

The Supercharged Mecha Egg could be obtained by either converting a Mecha Egg 2023 into a Supercharged Mecha Egg at the Egg Infuser or by defeating the Robodon boss.
