Generations are a trait that record a dragon's descent line number each time it has been bred down.
Generations can be located in a dragon's Appearance section in the Lair.

All dragons hatched from eggs, obtained from a Dragon Season, or through other non-breeding means will be generation 1. Every time a dragon is bred or Co-Hatched the offspring will take on the highest generation of the two parents and add +1.
