Features[]

Pre-September 2021[]

Prior to September 20th, 2021, dragons could only have a generation ranging from 1 to 10. Dragons bred past generation 10 would continuously display generation 10. Generations had no advantages or disadvantages.

Generation 1 dragons would have a gold label, generation 2-5 dragons would have a bronze label, and generation 6+ dragons would have a silver label.

Any dragons hatched before May 16th, 2020, were assigned a random generation since there was no previous system to keep up with it.

Tame and Wild[]

Between the time of September 20th, 2021, to February 2nd, 2024, dragons would either be Tame or Wild. The Wild status was equivalent to the "generation 1" status, and the Tame status was equivalent to the "generation 2+" status.

The player could use a Tame Potion to make a Wild dragon become Tame or use a Wild Potion to make a Tame dragon become Wild. Wild dragons shared the same boosts as generation 1 dragons.

Trivia[]

  • Generations were first introduced on May 16th, 2020.[1]
  • Generations were re-added on February 2nd, 2024, as part of the Dragon Genetics update.[2]
  • Generations used to be known as Pedigree or Status.
  • Dragons in Leisure would display the term "Pedigree" in place of "Generation" when being auctioned.
  • On June 25th, 2025, the 20% more experience and 1.25x growth boosts for generation 1 dragons were removed.
