Guild Wars are 30+ day-long events that feature a ranked point-based system. Points are evenly balanced out between the three guilds. Within the Guild Wars menu, the player can navigate to three additional menus.
The large banners set up around the Undercity will feature the banner of the winning guild after a Guild War ends.
Leaderboard[]
The Leaderboard displays the three guilds, their total member count, and how many points they have achieved. The player can hover their cursor over the banner of a guild to see the exact number of points and members a guild has.
At the bottom of the tab is the Guild War's current remaining time (or the time remaining before one begins).
My Progress[]
The My Progress tab displays the player's weekly tasks, their currently unlocked Guild Gems reward, and their current tier.
In Guild Wars 1, the highest tier a player could reach was Tier 5. In Guild Wars 2 and onward, players are able to reach Tier 20.
Tasks[]
Tasks are weekly missions that can be completed to earn Guild Points for the player's guild and their own individual score and to obtain Guild Gems, which can be used to purchase items at the Reward Altar.
Brawls[]
Brawls are three-day long events that made their first debut in Guild Wars 4. A new brawl begins two days after the brawl before it started.
Brawl Points can be earned by doing the concurrent brawl's objective. Each time the player reaches the designated number of points on an ongoing brawl's progress bar, they will be entitled one Guild Gem. The player can unlock up to 5 Guild Gems from a brawl and can continue earning Brawl Points for their guild after the progress bar has reached its limit.
The guild that earns the most Brawl Points by the end of that brawl is made the winner, and each of its members will receive one extra Guild Gem and an item reward, though the item reward may be awarded to players in other guilds as well. Prior to Guild Wars 5, the guild that won the brawl would also receive a large amount of Guild Points.

Rewards[]

Guild members will only receive the rewards corresponding to their guild's ranking. Players will have to achieve the required tier in order to earn the rewards associated with that tier.
Reward Altar[]

Reward Altar
The Reward Altar made its debut in Guild Wars 2 and can be located behind the Guild War dragon's stand. Players can exchange their Guild Gems for Guild Wars dragons and other rare exclusive rewards.
The Reward Altar consists of a long, wooden decorated table with a grand, mystical book atop it. Every so often, two gold neon swords and a floating crown will be displayed on top of the book.

Guild Gems[]

Guild Gems
Guild Gems, previously known as Guild Crystals, are obtained by completing the required amounts of each task given in the My Progress menu. Each fully completed task will reward the player one Guild Gem. From Guild Wars 2 and onward, players also receive Guild Gems based off of their contribution and their guild's placement, with the amount being awarded dependent on guild placement and personal tier. In Guild Wars 5, players became able to obtain Guild Gems from offering coins to the Gem Vault.
Players can also earn Guild Gems from Brawls. The amount of Guild Gems awarded to a player when a brawl ends is dependent on how much they contributed. Players can view their progress via the Guild Gem bar located below an ongoing brawl. Members of the guild that won the brawl will be rewarded an extra Guild Gem.
Guild Gems are used to purchase items at guild shops and the Reward Altar. Guild Gems transfer across Guild Wars.

Trivia[]
- Guild Wars 1 began March 11th, 2023, a day after guilds were implemented.[2]
- The Coin Tribute was completely revamped and renamed in Guild Wars 5.
- During the release of Guild Wars 5, the Guild Points earned from donating coins to the Gem Vault were awarded to that player's guild score and their personal earned Guild Points. This was unintentional, and all Guild Points earned prior to around 7:00 PM EST were reverted, however any Guild Gems or guild titles that were earned were not.[3][4]
- Prior to September ~11th, 2024,[6] Common dragons were worth 1 Brawl Point, Uncommon dragons were worth 2 Brawl Points, and Rare dragons were worth 3 Brawl Points.
- Guild Wars 6 originally used the same guild tier requirements as Guild Wars 5, however on March 21st, 2025, the point requirements were reduced.[7] On March 28th, the tier point requirements were reduced again to ensure that players would be able to make it to tier 20 before the Guild War ends without purchasing boosts.[8]
