An example of a dragon's name
Names are a way of differentiating dragons from one another and a way of labeling them. They are purely cosmetic and do not affect a dragon's stats or appearance, aside from the UI above its head.

Renaming[]
If the player wishes to change their dragon's name, they can do so by clicking on the name plate above the dragon's information card. Clicking on the box will clear the name. If the player does not give the dragon a new name, then the dragon will gain the name of its species.
If the player does give their dragon a name, it will instantly overwrite the old one.
It is important to note that a dragon's name can only be 20-characters long. If the player gives their dragon a name more than 20-characters long, then any character(s) after the 20th will be deleted.
Filtering[]
Players whose accounts are registered 13 or older will have more flexibility on what they name their dragons. Any words or phrases tagged by Roblox's system will also be tagged in Dragon Adventures.
Trivia[]

A showcase of the Rocirus name glitch.
- Dunluvsos translates to 'Grace Cry Blood' in Dovahzul, the language of dragons in The Elder Scrolls franchise.
- In the past, unnamed Rocirus would be given the name "Rocirus", however, when equipped, their name would show up as "Dummy". Their order in the Lair would also be incorrect.
