Resources are one of the item categories in Dragon Adventures and they are purely used to craft base buildables.
Resources can also be salvaged in Alchemy. In the past, some resources were used to unlock worlds.
Resources can be obtained by harvesting large resource nodes that spawn in all worlds except the Undercity. Like most other items, resources can also be bought or traded.
Additionally, resources can also be obtained from bosses, codes, and mobs.
Every resource has a limit of 10,000. Additional resources can be stored in the Bank.
Just like all other items, resources can be located in the player’s inventory under the “Resources” tab.
Obtainment[]
All resources can be obtained by harvesting large resource nodes that spawn around worlds. These nodes are harvested in "pieces" and can be harvested with either a dragon's elemental breath or bite attack. Multiple players can work together to harvest the same node. A dragon can deal 15 damage to the node at a time.
For every time part of the node is harvested, a random number of resources will be dropped for the player to collect.
All worlds share the same resource node model.
Killing mobs can also grant resources, which includes Ashes, and in the past, Bones and Wandering Souls.
Ashes can be dropped from all mobs except mobs in Prehistoric.
Resource nodes prior to the recode of February 27th, 2021, would spawn scattered around all worlds except Leisure and Accessory Island.
Players could instantly collect from them by clicking the E key on PC or by clicking them on mobile.
The drops of resource nodes could vary, and the same resources were not always guaranteed to drop every time. Rarely, preset potions from their respective worlds could also be dropped from resource nodes.
Between September 20th, 2021, and December 1st, 2023, 3:50 PM EST, resource nodes, like food nodes, would be scattered in groups of 1-4 in all worlds except the Undercity. Their appearances took the form of large crystals or rocks.
In order to collect from them, the player must have filled up the node’s bar by successfully clicking on three targets. If the player missed a target, they would have to redo it.
Once collected from, a new resource node would spawn somewhere in the server immediately.

Skills were released with the third version of Origins on February 27th, 2021.
Along with resources, most items also got a massive overhaul, both their models and their way of obtainment. Nodes were present in all worlds except Leisure and Accessory Island, and players could level up five different types of skills, each with their own kinds of items available.
Every five levels on a skill would give the player a bonus in that skill, with a max of fifty levels per skill.
Below are the following skill types:
- Treasure Hunting
- Resource Gathering
- Scavenging
- Fishing
- Fruit Harvesting
Despite each skill type housing different types of items, collecting from them was the same. Once a player selected a node, they were then able to click on targets that would speed up the collection process of the selected node.
Collection time could also be sped up depending on how many players were in the designated skill area. Every 120 nodes collected would also boost the collection time for 2 minutes.
A player could only collect from one node at a time and could not collect from a node that was already being collected by from another player.
Skills were removed on June 24th, 2021.
Fishing prior to February 27th, 2021, could also grant resources and other items like potions and healing items as well.
Unlocking Prehistoric involved the player having to fish for special heart resources unique to Grassland, Tundra, Fantasy, and Wasteland.
Other ways resources could’ve been obtained include:
- Chests, which could be obtained from Treasure Hunting and the Spinner Wheel, could be opened in the player’s inventory at any time, and would give the player three items. A max of five chests could be opened at a time, with the items obtained depending on the chest that was opened. They were removed on June 24th, 2021.
- The Spinner Wheel had various kinds of resources that could be won prior to the recode of September 20th, 2021.
- Killing bosses also granted resources.
- Participating in Accessory Island minigames also offered resource prizes.
- The missions system prior to September 20th, 2021, also provided resources as a possible reward.

Seeds[]
Seeds are resources purely used to craft farmable plants that grow food in the player's farmable plot. They cannot be sold and cannot be bought from the General Store, but rather from their respective world shops. They can also be obtained from bosses.
The player will not be able to use seeds to craft farmable plants if they do not have the world they originate from.

Lesson Library[]
This information is taken straight from the Lesson Library from Dragon Adventures. Due to updates, this information can become irrelevant at any time.
“There are resources nearby! Scattered throughout worlds, resources can be tapped to be collected.
Resources can be sold at the shop in the Lobby for coins, and certain ones can be used on dragons for feeding, revival, et cetera!”
Gamepasses[]
If the player owns the Big Backpack gamepass, the limit of resources will increase by +50%, allowing the player to carry 15,000 of the same item.
If the player owns the Resource Hog gamepass, they will earn one additional item per rarity group from the node they harvested. This gamepass is no longer for sale.
Trivia[]
- There are currently 49 obtainable resources and 13 removed resources, with a total of 62 resources to ever have been released within Dragon Adventures.
- The player previously had to click five targets instead of three when collecting from nodes. This change was implemented on July 23rd, 2022.
