Rodger

Rodger is a miniature, anthropomorphic Numine NPC who aids the player in the tutorial and helps new players understand the basics of the game. He is also a "Dragon Recordkeeper" and is responsible for writing dragon entries in the Dragonpedia.

He can currently be found in front of the Origins Stables structure, which is located beside the Undercity portal.

Dialogue

Rodger can be interacted with and is able to tell the player about himself and the basics of the game.

When is first interacted with, he will say the following:

• "Hey [player's username]!"

The player will then be able to pick between two options: "Chat" or "Goodbye." Clicking the latter will end the dialogue.

If the player selects "Chat", they will be able to select between four additional options.

How do I earn money?

Harvest the crops when they are ready, and sell them to the Farm Merchant when they request them!"

If the player selects the fourth option, "Nevermind...", it will bring the "Chat" and "Goodbye" dialogue options up.

• Rodger and the Lesson Library were added on April 25th, 2020.
• Rodger is currently the only known anthropomorphic dragon in Dragon Adventures.
• Rodger was confirmed by TIPE_NAME to be a miniature Numine with the colors' Water, Mellow, and Petal.
• On April 12th, 2024, Rodger was given a mesh deformation model to celebrate the Makeship Rodger plushie campaign. He could be located in between Alchemy and the Dragon Missions structure. On May 10th, 2024, he was moved to the Stables.
• On April 19th, 2024, the following information was confirmed about Rodger for the Rodger Plushie Q&A:
  • Rodger is the only Numine able to speak. It was also confirmed that other certain dragon species can communicate with players, as evident by NPCs like Maurice.
  • Rodger's real age is unknown, although he is estimated to be 4-5 years old.
  • Alertcoderf and Erythia originally came up with Rodger to be the mascot and tutorial guide for Dragon Adventures.
  • Rodger's favorite food is bananas.
  • Rodger does not have an owner, however he was discovered and befriended by Archie in Rodger's Story on YouTube.
  • Rodger was born very intelligent and was able to learn how to teach himself and others. He also learned how to walk upright and studied for a long time to be able call himself the "smartest dragon."
