The Saurium has an 85% chance of hatching from the Grassland Egg.
The Lucky Egg gamepass does not affect the Saurium's hatch chance.

- The Legacy model was created by Erythia.
- The Advanced model was modeled by JaxonBirb.
- The Saurium's name is a combination of ancient Greek σαύρα/σαῦρος (saúrā/saûros, simply "saur"), meaning "lizard" or "reptile", and the Latin suffix -ium.
- The Saurium was originally modelled to have shorter arms.
- The original model had its wings attached to its arms. They were separated to make animating easier.[1]
- Players got to vote for the species name of the Saurium, Dexyn, Numine, Palus, and Rocirus on the Dragon Adventures Discord for the beta release. Players got to vote between the listed four names:[2]

- The Saurium's Advanced model was added June 30th, 2023,[3] after Dragon Adventures reached its goal of achieving 450,000 likes on Roblox.[4]
- The Saurium is currently tied with the Cocovira and the Rocirus for having the shortest breeding cooldown.
- According to the Aurutentia's Dragonpedia entry, the Saurium is the only dragon not to cower in its presence.
- The Saurium was mistakenly placed in the Imbued Fireworks Egg, however when hatched the egg could also hatch nothing. This issue was quickly fixed after the Lunar New Year Event 2025 began.[5]
