Note: The Solstice Event 2020 has ended.

The Solstice event was a summer 2020 event celebrating the summer solstice. It started on 8/7/20.

Event[]

This event has similar parts to the Easter Event and the Zinthros event.

Minigames[]

There were several minigames that could be played to win rewards such as coins, potions, sun oranges, revives, and more. However, there had to be at least 3-4 people in the server for the minigames to start.

Week 1[]

Offer sun oranges to the sun gods as a community to raise the Hexalios cap! Sun oranges can be found through fishing in the Solstice world, minigames, farming, and the Solstice wheel. Every time the sun orange goal is met, 60 Hexalios are added to the game. Will you be lucky enough to hatch one?

Week 2[]

Includes base buildables as seen in the DA discord. A new NCP astronumer quest appears in the Volcano World where a meteor will crash land somewhere in the map. Along with this it has been confirmed that the numine remodel and Magmip will take place within this as well.

Week 3[]

A sudden appearance of a second event dragon. The sun god, Solarizon, had a cap of 7.5k at the start of the event. Each day after the cap was raised, a relic was placed, and when found, made 250 Solarizons available. The number of sun oranges to sacrifice for the Hexalios has been reset to 0. With this update you are able to hatch a third Hexalios.

Scavenger Hunt:[]

Every day a relic would be placed. The relic can be found on any map, and there would be an announcement when it spawned. When a player had found it another message would tell you so. To refill the Solarizon, you need to take a photo of your avatar with the relic, you would get one free Solarizon yourself and also fill the limit. You would need to post the image to the Sonar Studios Discord to refill them and claim your Solarizon.

Map[]

The Solstice world consists mainly of a larger island with smaller islands surrounding it; in the middle of the large island is a large mountain. The vegetation is mainly shades of orange, red, and yellow with some plants being blue and grey. Stone formations and arches shaped like the sun can also be found scattered throughout the map. Some notable features include the sun shrine at the base of the mountain, the fishing spot near the Whackamob area, and the teleporter/Solstice wheel (On one of the smaller islands connected to the large mountain through a bridge).

Solstice Wheel[]

The Solstice Wheel is a wheel close to the spawn area that you can spin for prizes. Some of the prizes were:

  • Mutation potion
  • Partial pure potion (both color and mat)
  • Lunaris potion
  • Golden watering can
  • Lava longsword
  • Sun oranges
  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Coins
  • Solstice egg
  • Banana seeds
  • Watermelon seeds

Eggs[]

The solstice egg is primarily orange with red and yellow 'scales', and like the other event eggs, they glow/shine. They spawn in the world every 10 minutes in collection zones. However, one always spawns at the sun shrine whenever the sun orange goal is met.

Hatchable Dragons[]

Because you are able to hatch the egg when there are no Hexalios to hatch, there are chances of hatching other rare dragons from the egg. Please note that Hexalios is the event dragon, and not the other 'filler' dragons.

Hexalios[]

The Hexalios is the 2020 Solstice event dragon. It is a quadruple winged dragon that is fast, a bit weak, and as Erythia called it, "semi-squishy" (Low health and defence). There used to be a 13% chance to hatch one, but since an update they have been raised to 23%, if there are any of them remaining after the cap raises.

Solarizon

The Solarizon is the second dragon for the 2020 Solstice event. It has two wings that float off of it's body and walks on four bulky feet. This dragon has an ethereal look. It's described as an Aztec god. You have a 2.99% to hatch it. Before Solstice 2021 and the creation of the Volkumos and Season Dragons, It was the rarest dragon in-game, taking what used to be the Aranga's title.

Mother Dragon[]

The Mother Dragon is the rarest dragon from Fantasy and is a filler dragon from the solstice egg. (7.69%).

Alrenoth[]

The Alrenoth is the rarest dragon from Tundra and is a filler dragon from the solstice egg. (30.8%)

Radidon[]

The Radidon is the rarest dragon from Wasteland and is a filler dragon from the solstice egg. (7.69%).

Zeipera[]

The Zeipera is the second rarest dragon from Fantasy and is a filler dragon from the solstice egg. (23.1%)

Krekiz[]

The Krekiz is the rarest dragon from Ocean, and is a filler dragon from the solstice egg. (30.8%)

Trivia[]

  • The event actually took place after the 2020 summer solstice.
  • Was originally leaked on 6/20/20 on Discord with the words " the fire rises".
  • The second event to contain minigames, the first being the Easter event.
  • There is the possibility to hatch other dragons from the egg.
  • The sun shrine may hint to the existence of Sun Gods in Dragon Adventures lore; there is a dragon mission involving the Sun Gods also.
