The Solstice Event of 2023 is an event that began August 18th, 2023, at 4:30 PM EST. It was given a three-day extension, and ended September 11th, 2023, at 4:30 PM EST
Event[]
Pre-event[]
On August 11th, at 4:30 PM EST, the Sunflower and a seven-day countdown until the kickoff of the event were added to Origins, and players became able to heal it with Water Orbs for event rewards.

Water Orbs could be found scattered around the world and spawned nearby the central town. Each time the Sunflower was given a Water Orb, it would regain some color in its stem and move slightly upward. It took between 10-15 Water Orbs to fully heal it, and once fully healed, it would drop one of the rewards listed below to any player that helped contribute to healing it. It took 1 minute for the flower to wilt again after being fully healed.

Water Orb Locations[]
Below is a list of locations Water Orbs will spawn at:
Event[]
Week One[]
Week One began August 18th, at 4:30 PM EST. The Solstice World opened up with most of its contents and players became able to earn Sun Gold, the event's currency. The Hexalios, Solarizon, and the Volkumos were reintroduced alongside other past Solstice event items. Sunflowers could be located around the Solstice World and were able to be restored to reward Solar Winds Eggs.[1]
The Sun Altar Plot Theme, Solar Winds element, Sun and Moon Aura Head flairs, and The Solstice Trophy limited UGC item were also introduced.[1]
Week Two[]
Week Two began August 25th, at 4:30 PM EST. It released the new Cosmalisk dragon and the Solar Chaos Egg. The Casirius was also reintroduced, and the Solarizon Backpack was added to the Event Store. Two new accessories were released alongside the limited Cosmalisk Horns UGC accessory.[2]
Week Three[]
Week Three began September 1st, at 4:30 PM EST. It lasted 3 additional days due to the developer team attending the Roblox Developer Conference.
Solar Chaos Eggs were made easier to obtain and the Chaos Flower's cooldown was increased to 1 hour. The Solar Chaos Egg became a possible reward that the player could win in Star Catcher, from healing regular sunflowers, and while racing in death races during the chaos sky.[3]
The Gamma Ray Potion and the Flying Death Race and the Ground Death Race were also implemented.[3]
World[]

Solstice World
The Solstice World retained the previous Solstice events' world appearance, albeit with major expansions and additional floating islands. The world itself was composed of one large main floating island with several other smaller floating islands surrounding it. The islands are covered in red grass and shrubbery, as well as red palm trees and large white flowers. Small shoots, ruins, towers and pillars, and rocky crystals also decked the islands' surfaces.
The main island was joined together to the World Teleporter with two bridges. A large mountain with a relic resembling the sun was located at the center of the island, and at its center was an opening to the caverns below. On the right of the island is where the minigames were located, and at the beginning of the island were the exclusive shops.
The Dragon Races minigame paved paths around the large island. The races showcased small lights that indicated the races' paths. A giant monumental structure similar to the 2022 Solstice Boss room was located to the back left of the world. A large camera icon was placed on the structure's platform.
Badge & Title[]
If the player entered the Solstice World, they would be rewarded with the Sunflower Caretaker title and the Solstice 2023 badge.
Sun Gold[]

Sun Gold
Sun Gold acted as the Solstice Event 2023's currency. Players could use Sun Gold to purchase items at the Accessory Store and the Event Store or to purchase incubators at the Speedy Incubators structure.
Sun Gold could be obtained by participating in minigames and from the Sun Gold Daily Bonus.
Sun Gold could also be purchased with Robux from the Premium Shop.
Amount | Price |
---|---|
200 Sun Gold | 99 Robux |
600 Sun Gold 2 Solar Chaos Eggs |
249 Robux |
1,500 Sun Gold 4 Solar Chaos Eggs |
499 Robux |
3,000 Sun Gold 8 Solar Chaos Eggs |
899 Robux |
Accessory Store & Event Store[]

Accessory Store
The Accessory Store consisted of a wooden stand draped with a red tapestry. It displayed several of the event's accessories. The sign atop it displayed the words "Accessory Store".
It was located on the right of the end of the bridge and had a light-yellow aura.
Featured Bundles[]

Event Store
The Event Store had the appearance of a wooden stand draped with a pinkish-red tapestry lined with yellow lacing, displaying several brown bags and a few exclusive potions. The sign atop it displayed the words "Solstice Shop".
It was located on the left of the bridge and had a blue aura.
World Features[]
Chaos Flower[]
The Chaos Flower was properly introduced in Week Two of the event.[2] It could be found on the center of the platform in the main cave.
During Week Two, it could be healed once every 10 minutes. In Week Three, it could be healed once every hour. Once the countdown was up, it would need to be unlocked with 500 Sun Gold. After it had been unlocked, it would need to be healed with a 10 randomized crystals of either Earth, Light, or Water affinity. Any player who healed it at least once or unlocked it for all other players would be eligible for rewards.
The Chaos Flower blossom would then turn into a large, red sunflower. The sunflower would then need to be defended for 2 minutes from Solstice mobs. If the player(s) failed to defend the Chaos Flower, it would need to be given 10 crystals again. If the players were successful in keeping it alive, the Chaos Flower would reward any eligible players 1 Solar Chaos Egg each.
NPCs[]
Three NPCs were featured in the Solstice World:

Helga the Hexalios
Helga the Hexalios is a juvenile Hexalios NPC that acted as a tutorial instructor.
Players would be directed to speak to her near the World Teleporter.
Upon being interacted with, she would say:
- “Welcome home, my Child of sun.”
- “Our Sunflowers, they wilt from the harsh rays of the sun. Your help is needed to revive them.”
- “Bring the Water, Earth, or Light crystals they request to them, and watch as they begin to grow!”
- “Fully revive one, and receive a Solar Winds Egg for your efforts…”
- “Go my child, bring these sunflowers back to life!”

Hammy the Hexalios
Hammy the Hexalios is a juvenile Hexalios NPC located in front of the minigame area.
Upon being interacted with, he would say:
- “Our world has graciously hosted the Dragon Races here.”
- “Participate in the Races and other minigames, and receive Sun Gold.”

Harvey the Hexalios
Harvey the Hexalios is a juvenile Hexalios NPC located in front of the Chaos Flower cave. He was introduced in Week Three.
Players would be directed to speak to him in Week Three.
Upon being interacted with, he will say:
- “The taint of chaos pollutes this world.”
- “When the Chaos Flower has been awakened, Sunflowers will often drop Solar Chaos Eggs.”
- “Chaos Egg have also begun to spawn on the race courses and in other minigames. Be sure to grab them as you speed past.”
- “The new Death Races drop DOUBLE the Sungold and Chaos Eggs. Be warned though, players can fight you during the race, so be on guard!”
Speedy Incubators[]

Speedy Incubators

A fully incubated egg in one of the Speedy Incubators
The Speedy Incubators were able to hatch eggs 25% faster than regular incubators and were located in the minigame area to the left.
The incubators could be purchased with Sun Gold, with five in total.
Incubator | Cost (![]() |
---|---|
1 | 50 |
2 | 75 |
3 | 100 |
4 | 125 |
5 | 150 |
Sun Gold Daily Bonus[]

Sun Gold Daily Bonus
The Sun Gold Daily Bonus structure could be found to the right of the Star Catcher minigame. The player could collect Sun Gold from the structure every 24 hours. Each day would give the player 50 more Sun Gold (excluding day 5) than the previous, which accumulated up to 7 days.
It reset back to 50 at each Friday at 4:30 PM EST. If the player missed a day during the week, then any progress they made would be reset back to day 1.
Day | Sun Gold Amount |
---|---|
1 | 50 |
2 | 100 |
3 | 150 |
4 | 200 |
5 | 200 |
6 | 250 |
7 | 300 |
Sunflowers[]
Large, wilted sunflowers could be located around the Solstice World. The sunflowers were able to be healed with Earth, Light, and Water crystals.
Each sunflower would need to be given any of the aforementioned crystals five times. Sunflower healing was server-wide, and once a sunflower was fully healed, it would drop one Solar Winds Egg. During the chaos sky, sunflowers had a slight chance (possibly 20-25%[4]) of rewarding a Solar Chaos Egg instead.
A player had 5 minutes to retrieve their egg from a sunflower they helped contribute to healing.
Crystals[]
All three of the crystals could be located throughout the Solstice World. Only one could be picked up at a time. If a dragon equipped carrying one was unequipped, the crystal would teleport back to its original position.
Minigames[]
Only three minigames were featured during the event:

The Dragon Races
The Dragon Races were competitive minigames.
They offered both flying and ground races in the Solstice World. In Week Three, PvP versions of the races were released. All of the races were able to run simultaneously and allowed up to 10 players to participate per race. The Ground Race had yellow rings and short barracks, and the Flying Race had blue rings. Both non-PVP races had green speed boosts and red speed deduction rings. Each race also featured a server-wide leaderboard, which recorded players' fastest race times and what dragon they used.
Either of the Death Races would always feature 1 Solar Chaos Egg able to be picked up per player during the chaos sky. The player would only be given the egg if they collected it and finished the race. Regular races had a 10% chance of rewarding a Solar Chaos Egg to users in 1st place during the chaos sky.[2]
As soon as the first player finished the race, a DNF (did not finish) timer of 60 seconds would be put in place. Any player who did not finish the race by the time the DNF timer was over would be given a DNF and would not win anything. If less than 2 players were in the race when it began, the timer would be put in place when the race started.

Star Catcher
Star Catcher is a co-op minigame.

Event Dragons[]
The Solstice Event 2023 released one new event dragon and returned four event dragons:
Casirius[]

"The Casirius is a mysterious, and elusive draconic beast, native to the Solstice world. While the Solarizon rules over the day, the Casirius reigns over the night. These nocturnal beasts are said to be brimming with celestial power, drawing their strength from the stars above. Tamed Casirius are very desired by dragon trainers for their unique appearance, rarity, and friendly nature. Just Like big dogs, they are endlessly loyal, and strive to please their trainers. They are also deceptively strong for their size, albeit, not very fast."
The Casirius released in Week Two of the event.
Cosmalisk[]

"The Cosmalisk is a large, majestic dragon adorned with features reminiscent of the vast outer cosmos. They can be found in the Solstice world during a particular cosmological event. These majestic dragons are solitary by nature and rarely make an appearance. The Cosmalisk performs well in combat, because of its high health and a powerful bite. They can dispatch most of their enemies with ease and are a well-rounded dragon, although they can be unpredictable at times. Handling a Cosmalisk comes with great risk, and it is recommended that only very experienced tamers pursue them. Some advanced tamers believe they may be an old and primal species capable of causing extreme chaos and calamity if left unchecked. They have an unintentional habit of causing chaos around them."
The Cosmalisk released in Week Two of the event.
Hexalios[]

"These radiant dragons almost seem to feed off the sun's energy, as they are seen floating around the islands of the Solstice world, gentle and regal. They are quite powerful dragons, despite their large size and slow speed. They seem to have existed for a long, long time, as old murals found around the cave systems of the Solstice world show ancient civilizations who worshipped the Hexalios as a sun god, even forming large groups to collect fruit to offer them at the altars. As of now, these dragons aren't quite so rare to find, though they are still difficult to domesticate. Back then, Hexalios used to primarily feed on sun oranges gathered by their many worshippers, but nowadays they have a much more diverse palate and usually feed on the available fruit and fish of the Solstice world."
The Hexalios released in Week One of the event.
Solarizon[]

"The Solarizon species are a rare sight in the Solstice world. These dragons have a powerful bite force, and equally strong fire breath. Due to their large size, speed isn't their strong point. However, what they lack in speed, they make up for by having good health, enabling them to be strong enough to hold their own in combat. Solarizons are proud, powerful dragons who aren't easily befriended, but when you manage to get close to one, it will stay at your side forever."
The Solarizon released in Week One of the event.
Volkumos[]

"The Volkumos is a highly proud and intelligent dragon species native to the Solstice World. Volkumos sightings are extremely rare, and the species is thought to have existed for centuries. These regal dragons possess extensive knowledge and exude a natural sense of authority, making them suitable companions for leaders or influential individuals. Volkumos display exceptional physical strength, formidable attacks, and above-average health. These fierce dragons are not inclined to shy away from conflict and will stop at nothing to protect their territory, belongings, or loved ones. Earning the acceptance and trust of a Volkumos is a demanding task, but with patience and luck, one may acquire a fiercely devoted and wise ally."
The Volkumos released in Week One of the event.
Eggs[]

The Solar Winds Egg could be obtained by fully healing sunflowers and be won from any of the minigames.
