Rodger
The tutorial is a feature at the beginning of the game guided by Rodger that helps new players begin their dragon adventure.

"Welcome to Dragon Adventures! I'm Rodger, your guide. Press 
to ride your dragon!"
Upon entering the game for the first time, Rodger will introduce himself and a default Atarix with a randomly assigned name will be waiting to be mounted.
A bar is displayed at the top of the screen indicating 'Tutorial Progress' towards obtaining a 'RARE Dragon Egg.' After the player mounts their dragon, the bar will progress.
"Run through the ring! Let's see where it goes!"
- Sometimes the player will not spawn where the tutorial takes place, but at the normal spawn location, and have to travel a further distance to the ring's location.
After running through the green ring, a Tutorial Egg nest will appear nearby.
"Look! A new Dragon Egg has appeared right there!"
"Dragon Eggs spawn in these nests every few minutes! Collect the Egg now!"
When the player walks up to the nest, they must press E to begin collecting the egg, and after clicking 1 target, the player will obtain the Tutorial Egg.
"Press 
to make your dragon fly! Let's take flight to your Plot and hatch the egg!"
- Collecting the egg is treated as a checkpoint for the tutorial, if the player leaves they will be reset back to this point.
- The player is now able to fly on their dragon, but is not required to fly on the way to their base. This will visually bug out the tutorial.
"Now lets try landing! Fly down to the portal and press again to land!"
Upon entering the home plot, Rodger will continue the tutorial to help the player hatch their first egg.
"Place your egg into the Incubator! Once it's incubating, hatch the baby dragon inside!"
The player must place their obtained egg into the Incubator, and after 2 seconds, press E to hatch it into a baby Rocirus.
"Let's equip your new baby dragon! Press
- If the player leaves the game, the egg is returned and the hatched dragon is removed.
As the last task, the player must exit their base.
"Great job! When you're ready, you can head back and explore the rest of the world!"
At this point the tutorial progress bar has filled all the way, and the player receives the Tutorial Completion Egg.
"You know all the basics! Complete the missions that are pinned on your screen now!"
With the tutorial completed, the player now has full control and can progress at their own rate. Welcome to Dragon Adventures!
Trivia[]
- The Grassland world is no longer unlocked as part of the tutorial and must be unlocked with the Origins world missions.
- The tutorial became skippable sometime during December 2024.
