Dragonpedia[]
"The Varana is a rare season drake that lives in dense rainforests. They are extremely fast on land, and are also impressive climbers, able to scale trees with ease. Varanas have excellent senses, with keen eyesight, great sense of smell, and the ability to detect their prey by sensing their heat signatures. It is near impossible to hide from a Varana. These cunning and intelligent drakes are also known for their social nature; they roam in organized packs, collaborating to capture prey and protect their own. Trained varanas are excellent hunting partners, able to easily locate prey and other resources for their trainers."
