Zinthros
History

The Zinthros is one of four obtainable world dragons from Prehistoric, the other three being the Chronocus, Rhyndac, and the Soukeyi.

Dragonpedia[]

"Deep in the Prehistoric world lurks the Zinthros, a dangerous apex predator. Though flightless, they are both strong and rather fast. For a long time, these powerful dinosaur-like dragons used to be incredibly rare encounter, only appearing to tamers after a sacrifice of Prehistoric Hearts on specific days. While they remain difficult to tame due to their untrusting and nervous nature, they have become much more accustomed to human contact and are valuable companions to those brave enough to tame them. They are primarily carnivores, with fish being one of their favorite and most reliable sources of food. They resort to feeding on plants and fruit only as a last option, although their young often enjoy the cacao beans found all over the Prehistoric islands before they learn to hunt."

Trivia[]

  • Modeled by Erythia.
  • Animated by Erythia.
  • Its name may be derived from Therizinosaurus, particularly from ancient Greek θερίζω (therízō), meaning "scythe" or "to reap."
  • OiLumo explained that the Zinthros was based off of multiple prehistoric creatures, including spinosaurids, Therizinosaurus, Carnotaurus, Acrocanthosaurus, Megatherium, Chalicotherium, and a little bit of Tyrannosaurus rex, which is mixed in its face to provide it binocular vision. It is the apex predator of Prehistoric according to oiLumo.[1]
  • The Zinthros's original obtainment was similar to the Solarizon's during the Solstice Event 2020, as both dragons required item donations to raise their limited global caps.
  • The Zinthros was the only non-breedable world dragon prior to February 2nd, 2024.
  • The Zinthros is currently the longest flightless dragon.
  • The Zinthros has a UGC accessory based off of it, that being the Zinthros Tail.
  • The Zinthros, like all other currently released world dragons, received hatch presets on February 9th, 2024.[2]
